Make your business
understood.

It’s not that nobody wants what you do. It’s that it isn’t clear yet. I fix that in ten working days.

“I explain it differently every time.”

“People nod, then ask what we actually do.”

“We lose deals we never hear about.”

The prospect had three questions. The website answered none of them.

What I do

One clear explanation of your business, in ten working days.

You’re good at what you do. Your business just isn’t explained that well yet. I sit with you, settle it and write it down in three documents you keep: what to say, who it’s for and what to fix first.

Real work, three businesses

What changed when the explanation was settled.

Real results from real clients, told without names until each agrees. They came from fuller engagements than the Foundation: the explanation was settled first, then the pieces that carry it were made from it.

After the Foundation

Then only what the Roadmap calls for.

The Foundation is useful on its own. If the Roadmap says another piece is worth making, I make it from the same Playbook, so everything says the same thing.

  • A sales deckTwelve to fifteen slides, written from the Playbook.
  • A company profileEight to twelve pages, in your words.
  • A proposal and sales toolkitThe proposal, the discovery script, the answers to the objections.
  • Website or landing page copyWritten and structured, ready for any builder.
  • A landing page or website, builtFrom the same copy. You own the domain, the hosting and the files.

And if a new website, a video or a new logo isn’t the answer, I’ll tell you so in writing.

Who this is for

Who this is for and who it isn’t.

For the owner of an established business with paying customers and a team around them: the founder, co-founder, owner or managing director whose business is run better than it is explained.

It isn’t for a business with no paying customers yet. It isn’t for an owner who wants leads, a logo, a website or a video first, or a guarantee of sales. It isn’t for a business where no single person owns the decision. And it isn’t for an owner who has decided to do this alone, which is a fair decision. If that’s you, we’d rather you knew now.

Who you’ll work with

A founder, working with founders.

You are the only person who can explain the business, so every new client still comes through you. Khalid is a founder too. He has spent 17 years in senior marketing, worked on more than 300 brands and built several businesses himself, so he knows what it is to be very good at the work and still have to sell it. You work with him start to finish, in the room, and nothing is handed to a junior.

I’m in the room for every session, asking the questions founders put off.

The Foundation: $6,000

Ten working days, and three documents you keep:

  • The Playbook what to say
  • The Client Map who it’s for, and where you lose them
  • The Roadmap what to fix first

The Foundation is $6,000, fixed, in writing. It is set against the deal you lose, not against hours. The date only moves if your side moves.

The first four clients pay $4,500. That is a trade, not a discount: in return you give a case study at 60 days.

What is one contract worth to you?

The free Founder Review

If your answers show it’s the right fit, we’ll be in touch about a free Founder Review: thirty minutes with Khalid. He tells you the three places a buyer loses you, spoken and shown. You keep those three findings and the starting point we emailed you, and you owe nothing. If the business already explains itself well, he says so.

Why only two at a time

I run every session myself, so I only take on two businesses at a time. If both places are taken, I’ll tell you when the next one opens.

The ten questions

The ten questions.

We’re doing well. Why would we need this?

You may not. The business is probably doing well because you are very good at the work. The question is narrower: when you are not in the room, can a buyer tell what you do, who it’s for and why you? Often the owner can give that explanation and nobody else in the business can. If it’s the right fit, the free Founder Review takes 30 minutes. If the answer is that it’s fine, I’ll say so.

Can’t I just do this myself?

You can, and you’ll be part of it either way. Every answer in the two working sessions is yours; I ask the questions and write down what you say. What is hard to do alone is hearing your own business the way a stranger does, because you know too much. If you’d rather do it alone and we do speak, the free Review gives you enough to start, and you keep the three findings.

We’ve paid for help before and it didn’t work.

Then you know what the wrong help costs, and I’d start there. Often the website, the deck or the campaign was built before the explanation was settled, so it was never going to hold. I settle the explanation first, in writing, before anything is made. If a new website or a film isn’t the answer, I’ll tell you so in writing.

What does it cost, and why that much?

The Foundation is $6,000, or $4,500 for the first four clients, who give a case study at 60 days in return. It is fixed, in writing and set against what a lost deal costs you, not against my hours. If one proposal you lose this year is worth more than the price, the sums are worth a look. If it isn’t, this isn’t for you.

What if you tell me nothing new?

Then you’ve spent 30 minutes and learned that the way you explain the business works. I’d rather say that than sell you ten days you don’t need. If the Review finds the explanation is already clear, I’ll say so and I won’t propose the Foundation.

How much of my time does it take?

If it’s the right fit, the Review is 30 minutes. The Foundation needs you in two working sessions and at the readout, and a decision from you within two working days at each step. That part nobody else can do for you, so I don’t make it smaller.

Who is this not for?

A business with no paying customers yet. An owner who wants leads, a logo, a website or a video first. Anyone who wants a guarantee of sales. A business where no single person owns the decision. Anyone who has decided to do it alone, which is a fair decision. If that’s you, I’d rather you knew before we spoke.

Do you build the website or the video?

Not first. The Foundation settles what the business says, who it’s for and what to fix first. If the answer includes a new website or a film, the Roadmap says so and Founder can build it afterwards. If it doesn’t, I’ll tell you so.

What do I actually get?

In ten working days: one written explanation of the business that you and everyone in it can give, the proof a buyer needs and a list of what to fix first. One fixed price and one fixed date, in writing, and everything we make is yours when the final payment is made. Before any of that, if it’s the right fit, the free Review gives you the three places a buyer loses you.

Why you?

I’m a founder too, with 17 years in senior marketing, more than 300 brands and several businesses built. You work with me start to finish, in the room, and nothing is handed to a junior. I can’t promise a result. I can promise to ask the questions you’ve been avoiding and to write down what you answer.
